Music Video FAQs

..............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

How many days will you be filming?
It usually only takes one day but we always give ourselves an extra day just incase any unforeseen circumstances happen on the first day. We may also need extra days depending on the complexity of the idea for the video.

How long before I receive the DVD?
We aim to have the DVD out to you between 4-6 weeks after we have finished filming.

How many DVDs do I receive?
You will receive 5 DVDs in total. You can have more DVDs if you wish at £15 per DVD.

How long will the DVD be?
If you choose package one then it is usually between 4-5 minutes. Package two will depend on the length of the song you have chosen.

If we opt for package one then how many songs can we have on it?
You can have as many as you want but bare in mind that it is only a 4-5 minute video so if there are too many songs then it won't work because there won't be enough snippets of each song. Ideally each snippet should be no less than 20 seconds long and no more than 45 seconds long.

Do you record the sound?
No we don't record the sound. We leave that up to you guys so that you can make sure that you are happy with the music that is used on the DVD. After all, you guys are in the music industry so you know what sounds good and we are in the video industry and we know what looks good.

Will we be singing live?
What usually happens is we get you to record your song or snippets of your song or use a pre-recorded CD and then get you to play the track/s through the speakers so everyone can hear it. We then ask you to perform in time to that recording - you can either mime or play/sing as long as your instruments are turned down. ( this is obviously not possible for the drums so the drums just play along in time with the recording ). By doing this we are able to get multiple different camera angles for that song by playing the recording several times. It also makes sure that when it comes to the edit, everyone is in sync, it looks like you are playing the song and the sound on the DVD is CD quality.
